This is according to information shared on the Eswatini Dairy Board (EDB) website.
EDB is a Category A Public Enterprise established through The Dairy Act of 1968. According to the Act, the Dairy Board exists primarily to organise the efficient, orderly and stable production of dairy products and regulate and develop their distribution and marketing.

However, domestic production continues to fall short of the rising demand for dairy products in the country. Over the last five years, domestic production increased.  It was at 21.24 million litres in 2018 compared to 18.04 in 2017 and 10.64 in 2014.

Dairy imports decreased from 65.59 million litres in 2017 to 63.42 in 2018.
The 2018 monetary value of all dairy products consumed in the country was approximately E630 million compared to E550 million in 2017.
