MBABANE - Republic of Korea has donated an E480 000 worth of ambulance for the Royal Swaziland Police Service.

Making the presentation was Minister of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea Yong-Hyu Kwo and Consular General Dr Min to the Prime Minister Sibusiso Dlamini at the police headquarters yesterday.

During his speech Yong-Hyu Kwo mentioned that this was not just a delivery of the vehicle but had a lot of meaning in terms of connecting the heart of both the people of Korea and the country.

"Last year in bidding for 2012 International Exhibition, we owed your Kingdom a great deal for the support from the government of Swaziland. Our Korean won the bid for the 2012 Expo with your government’s full support by the way of joining the Bureau of International Exhibition based in Paris," he said.

On behalf of local government Prime Minister Sibusiso Dlamini thanked the Korean government for the donation.

"Honourable minister please pass our gratitude to your government and assure them that the ambulance has come at a time when we needed it most," he said.
