MBABANE – It was raining goals in the MTN Premier League games over the past weekend.
At least 23 goals were scored in six matches as strikers became ‘trigger happy’.

Mbabane Swallows forward, Sandile Hlatshwako, netted a hat-trick to bring his tally to four in the 5-1 win over Red Lions.
Also coming to the party was Mbabane Highlanders South Africa-born forward, Ayanda Lumkwane, whose brace helped the capital city giants thrash RSSC by 4-0.

He is also on four goals. Nimble-footed Royal Leopard forward, Barry Steenkamp, was on the losing side but his lone strike in the 1-2 loss to Green Mamba was enough to keep him on top of the charts with seven goals.  He scores an average of 1.16 goals per match.

The talisman said winning the top goalscorer award would be a bonus as he wanted to keep his team in chase of the championship.
The statistics show a notable improvement when compared to the past season.

After the same number of games last year, Solomon Oladele, who was leading the standings, had five goals.
Winning the award last season was Sandile Hlatshwako while at Malanti Chiefs.

He visited the back of the net 14 times.
He walked away with E7 700. This season the winner will pocket a revised E9 300.
