Greetings Mkhonto KaShaka, greetings, Nqolebovu Kamasizila, hello to you all ‘Beautiful Birds’, sanibonani Swai Swai on this beautiful and blessed Friday.

I greet you all in the name of the mighty Mbabane Swallows FC. I greet you in the name that brings fear to many. It is one name that sends shivers down the spine of a lot of people. We are Mbabane Swallows. We are proud. We are fearless. We are conquerors.
It is not just me saying that Swai Swai but the actions of this great team speak on their own.

Last Sunday we reached our second final in the new season when we qualified for the Castle Premier Challenge final. This was after we had beaten our semi finals opponents Royal Leopard over two legs. The aggregate score was 6-2 to our favour after winning each leg 3-1.

We have already put the win behind us and focus now is on Green Mamba, whom we meet in the final. Yes Mkhonto  KaShaka, let me assure you that this is just the beginning of our quest to reclaim the glory days. To us, we have not yet achieved anything despite winning the Charity Cup early on in the season. Instead, we are hungry for more. Yes, at Swallows, the more we win, the hungrier we get. Unlike others, what delights us is lifting trophies and not insulting other teams’ players and officials.
Somhlolo skirmish

regrettable

Having said that Mkhonto KaShaka, let me, on behalf of the great Mbabane Swallows FC, apologise to the soccer fraternity for the skirmish that was witnessed on Sunday, shortly before our game against Royal Leopard in the Castle Premier Challenge Cup. As a team we do not condone any form of misconduct whether before, during or after a game. We are a team founded on integrity, honesty and truth. Above all, we subscribe to FIFA’s Fair Play. We were deeply disturbed by the incident that has also seen two of the team’s marshals arrested. I will not dwell much on the matter. It is now in the courts of the land and we will wait for justice to take its course.

We will be ready for Wanderers

On Sunday at Somhlolo National Stadium we are playing against Manzini Wanderers in an MTN Premier League game under the Y’ello Sunday banner. The game will kick-off at 3.30pm
A lot has been said about this game. To tell the truth Swai Swai, to us this is one of those games. There is really nothing special about it in all honesty. We have been preparing for it like we usually prepare for all others. We have not undergone any special training for it.
We will enter the stadium, nevertheless, with one aim, which is to win it. We always strive to win all of our games and this one is not different. We will be ready Mkhonto KaShaka, I promise.

Your wings to Somhlolo

Our vibrant national supporters committee through Secretary Jackson Dlamini   has once again ensured that you do not miss the game against Manzini Wanderers, which will be played at Somhlolo National Stadium on Sunday.

Transport for you beautiful Birds has been organised to the game. It will leave at different times for Somhlolo National Stadium.
Please be clad in your beautiful replicas and for those who do not have, be assured that these will be available at the stadium. They are so cheap we are literally giving them away.

Let me take this opportunity to praise our supporters committee for the wonderful job of ensuring everyone attends our games. They must keep up the good work. We are a family that cares for one another.
I will talk to you again next week and I love you all!

Shaka akashayeki!
