KING’S CUP GOLF BOOSTED MY CONFIDENCE - BENEDICT

MBABANE – Golfer Benedict Bennett said particpating in the 2014 King’s Cup Golf tournament has boosted him ahead of the Standard Bank Mauritius Golf Open tournament.


Bennett will be playing in Mauritus on October 18 with new handicap 10. He was handicap 11 before the King’s Cup Golf tournament played a fortnight ago at the Royal Swazi Spa Golf Club. Bennett came fifth during the tounament.
He won the Standard Bank Regional Golf Series in Serengeti Golf and Wildlife Estate in Johannesburg, South Africa in July to be part of the golfers to go to Mauritius.


“Before the King’s Cup Golf tournament I was handicap 11 and I’m happy that my game has improved. I’m so excited that I will be going to Maurtius to represent Standard Bank and obviously the country too,” he said.


Bennett will join a team of eight golfers from the Southern Africa region who will be participating in the Standard Bank Mauritius Golf Open. He will represent Standard Bank in the open tournament in Mauritius after his performance during an annual golf day held at Nkonyeni Resort in June. One of the prizes during the tournament at Nkonyeni was a ticket to play in the Standard Bank Regional Golf Series, which took place at Serengeti Golf and Wildlife Estate in Johannesburg in July and the oncoming open tournament in Mauritius. Bennett started playing golf in 2007 and he came fifth in this year’s King’s Cup Golf tournament.
