MANZINI – Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows face forfeiture of points to Ludzeludze Killers after failing to honour their MTN National First Division League game at the Manzini Club yesterday.
The Pigg’s Peak ensemble had been fixtured to play Killers at 3.30pm after another clash pitting Mhlambanyatsi Rovers and Hellenic at 1.30pm.

However, only Rovers and Hellenic played and the game ended in a goalless draw.
When Killers reported at the technical area, their opponents were nowhere to be seen and word coming from the match officials was that Black Swallows failed to register their players and had no playing cards. The game was called off immediately.

This could see Killers get the maximum points as per the league’s rules and regulations and that is exactly what the club’s PRO Mukelwe Nxumalo said, that they expected nothing less than the full three points and three goals.
“There are rules and regulations for this league and they are clear but we’ll wait for the PLS to give us direction,” she said.
Meanwhile, Black Swallows Managing Director Charles Matsebula said it was unfortunate this had to happen but they had no other option since their team could not be registered despite submitting their paperwork to the NFAS and PLS last Friday.

“We were met with some problems at the PLS office and ended up not registering the team but we formally filed a complaint to the PLS and will wait for their guidance,” Matsebula said.
He said they understood the league rules and regulations but cannot pre-empt anything as the PLS was also aware they would not honour the fixture.
