MBABANE – The Namibia national team, Brave Warriors recorded a full house in camp ahead of the international friendly game against Sihlangu.

At yesterday morning’s training session all the 23 players called were present and full of energy as the senior players such as Henrico Botes,

Rudolph Bester, Willem Mwedihanga, Lazarus Kaimbi and Chris Katjiukua continuously shared expertise with the younger players.
After the training session at the Sam Nujoma Stadium where the game will be played, assistant coach Mohammed Ouseb said the plan was coming together so far and rubbished fears of the youngsters having stage fright. According to the Namibia Football Association (NFA) website, there is no stage fright from the young players.

“We have a plan for Wednesday (tomorrow) night and the boys are getting it so far. Of course as expected and we have spoken to the senior guys to make it as comfortable for the lads as possible. They are all pushing hard for places and things are turning out well at the moment.”
Ouseb, a reliable former Brave Warriors midfielder, expects the players to play well as they look forward to the Under-23s’ qualifiers later this year.

“We are giving the boys a big opportunity to test themselves and prove themselves. They have big qualifiers coming up and for them to be involved in these kind of international senior games will be good for them. With all this experience and coming down to your age group will come in handy, and other countries are doing it already so we need to step up as well,” said Ouseb, who is an assistant to Woody Jacobs at the national under-23s of Namibia.

Brave Warriors captain, Ronald Ketjijere said the team was ready for the friendly match. “We have the responsibility as senior players to make it easy for the new guys to relax.
“The stage is big for them. We know what it means and we need to make them understand and come match-day (Wednesday), they just play their normal game which will mean so much for them and for the whole team indeed,” he said.

Ketjijere then called on the nation to come and see the team in action and cheer them to victory.
“We will need all the support we can get from our fans. We are playing at home and the team will appreciate support from our brothers, sisters, neighbors and parents. It puts as at ease and motivate us to do well for the team,” he said.
