EZULWINI – MTN Swaziland has apologised for the loss of the Swazi TV broadcast rights.

The giant mobile telecommunications company had partnered with the national broadcaster to bring live games of the MTN Premier League in the past season. However, the deal is off, as exclusively revealed by the Times Sunday.

MTN Swaziland CEO Ambrose Dlamini assured that his company was still committed to the success of the league despite the challenges.
“The loss of the Swazi TV Live Broadcast sponsorship is regretted; however, we are hopeful that we can still make this year’s MTN/PLS League to be great for all parties involved,” Dlamini said.

He assured that his office was still committed to the development of the country’s football. He further stressed on the need to reflect on the past season, saying improvement of the game and its administration should be top priority.

Dear Sir

It is regretable that Mtn lost the rights to broadcast with Swazi tv, we are really saddened, since this was a step forward, it means that our soccer is going a step back, yet we say we are going towards His Majesty's dream of 2022 which we are all looking forward to.

I for one would say may there be another way of sorting this issue. We the clients of Mtn and Stva are dissapointed by this step as it means that we are not considered.
