MBABANE – The national football team Sihlangu’s positive movement in the FIFA/Coca-Cola World rankings continues.

The national team, which had been doing poorly in the monthly released rankings which mirror how a team is performing at that time, has seen an improvement ever since Harris ‘Madze’ Bulunga took charge when Belgian coach Valere Billen left.

From June to August 2014, the country has pushed 15 places up the ladder, accumulating 15 points in the process.
Swaziland did well between June and July when the national team played and beat the likes of Botswana and Lesotho to accumulate points and boost its standing in comparison to other world football playing nations.

In July Sihlangu moved 14 places up from 173 to 159 with 123 points, and this month the country is placed one place better in 158 after having added two points despite not having played any game.
However, the national team is expected to play an international friendly game in the next FIFA Week which will fall on the first week of September.
