It has been 12 glorious years of the Swazi Telecom Charity Cup and this year marks the 13th since football tied the knot with the Swaziland Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (SPTC), sponsors of what has come to be known as the Cup of Hope.
It has been a marriage made in Heaven.
Today, we bring you the vital statistics of the annual season’s opener. You will not read them anywhere else but here. Enjoy the read, as we travel down memory lane ahead of Sunday’s preliminary clashes, which are slated for Somhlolo National Stadium.
The double header billing will pit Manzini Sundowns against Mbabane Swallows in the first game scheduled to kick off at 2pm before the main match of the day between the defending champions, Royal Leopard against Manzini Wanderers at 4.30pm.
