WE’RE READY TO CONQUER ON SUNDAY – ‘MADZE’
(At Somhlolo National Stadium)
LOBAMBA – Sihlangu coach, Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga has declared his charges ready to face Sierra Leone on Sunday.
The two countries clash head-on at the Somhlolo National Stadium in the first of a double legged AFCON Qualifier game.
Interviewed after yesterday afternoon’s training session at the national stadium, Bulunga said they have covered a lot of ground in the past two days.
The coach recently declared that his boys were only 60 per cent ready after their international preparatory match against Botswana recently. Sihlangu won the game 4-1 away from home to boost their confidence ahead of the clash against the Leone Stars.
“The goal we conceded in Botswana, for instance, should not have gone in. It was just lapse in concentration from the defence.
“We have been working hard in the past two days trying to correct the mistakes we spotted during the game.
“I can safely say that most of the work has been done because even this morning we concentrated on the finishing part.
“It is good that we have two of the country’s leading goalscorers in Sandile (Hlatjwako) and Barry (Steenkamp). We also have another on form striker in Sidumo (Shongwe). I think we are balanced,” said Bulunga.
