‘STYLES’, BAFANA WIN REAL IMAGE GOLF TOURNEY

(At Mbabane Golf Club)

MBABANE – Veteran golfer Sam ‘Styles’ Richards and Bafana Hlophe’s partnership won the Rea Image Golf Day tournament in grand fashion yesterday.

The two notched up an incredible score of 52 points, drawing whistles of amazement and admiration from their fellow competitors.
They beat a field of 19 other teams who were also in contention.

Richards was captain of the winning team and he said he and his partner played well together.
“It feels good to win. My driver (Bafana) played well. We played good and complemented each other and I’m happy that I have been in good form lately,” he said. 

They were followed by the elderly couple of Mervine and Delli Lubbe who scored 50 points.
Meanwhile, Valentine Maziya received two awards in the awarding of novelty prizes for his individual brilliance on the day, hitting the longest drive and a nearest to pin ball.
