MBABANE – Manzini Wanderers have gone for the services of former player Mphumelelo ‘Flamingo’ Gamedze for the vacant coaching post.

The team is currently without a head coach following the quitting of South African-born mentor Kenny Ndlazi last week.
An insider in the club disclosed that the club has had fruitful talks with the Mbombela United coach who was in the country over the weekend.  In fact, the source said the coach will be unveiled this afternoon, as a senior member of the club management was in South Africa to make sure that he came with the coach.

“Flamingo and Wanderers is a done deal, and as we speak a senior official is expected to bring him home tonight (last night). His unveiling will be tomorrow (this afternoon),” the insider said. Manzini Wanderers PRO Mduduzi Ginindza could only confirm that the team will unveil a new coach this afternoon. “We are done with a new coach, but I was not mandated to reveal the name, except to invite anyone who wants to see him to come at training tomorrow (today),” Ginindza said.
He said about the fo

rmer coach, the two parties have decided to part ways amicably.
“We met with Ndlazi and had fruitful talks about everything that was said in the media. We then decided to part ways peacefully, and the club now is happy to have cleared anything with our former coach. Our wish is to make friendship than enmity in football,” Ginindza said. ‘Flamingo’ takes over a club that is still very much in the MTN League title race as they trail leaders Royal Leopard by four points. Wanderers face Mbabane Midas City on Saturday at Mhlume Stadium, kick-off is at 3pm.
Gamedze is a CAF Licence B holder and is currently coach of Vodacom League side Mbombela United. His team narrowly lost to Moroka Swallows in the first round of the NedBank Cup.

Allow me to appeal to all Manzini Wanderers supporters to stand up and stop this madness once and for all. The issue of Ndlazi is just a tip on the iceberg. Ever since Mr. Mabila joined the club and labelled himself Managing Director (MD), he has not brought any joy but misery to the team. I suupose it is high time issues are put out in the open and discussed with a view of getting closure and going to our glory years. Mr. Mabila is not good for Manzini Wanderers in the following ways:
Discipline
He is not a man capable of bringing discipline to the team considering the fact that he cannot handle himself in a manner that is exemplary even in public. He drinks openly in public even in front of the players and sometimes with the players. He also has favourites among the players in the likes of Pupu, Nkomishi and Junior. Those players will remain ill-disciplined and pose a headache to any coach. They have won nothing for the team yet they are potrayed to be bigger than the team.
General Manager
Mr. Mabila brought his friend Mr. Pat Mahlalela as a GM to the team. A fella who actually left Manzini Wanderers to go and join Hellinic F.C a little known team from Mangwaneni, to an extent that when Manzini Wanderers was playing Hellenic he would rejoice to the team’s defeat. Where does his loyality lie? How dare at the age of 40 you leave your team and start following another team. I have no doubt about his commitment, but his hands are not clean. Where are the Wanderers supporters who never forsake, no leave the team.
Financial Resources
Mr.Mabila and team have failed to raise resources for the team instead they are also helping themselves to the pot. Wanderers cannot afford to share its gatetaking with them. They are in Management, they are supposed to account for the money belonging to the team.
They have failed to pay the players, everywhere you go players are complaining about outstanding salaries. They have failed to pay service providers, garnishees are flocking left right and centre. To run any entity one should always adhere to corporate governance principles. Pay you dues and in time. One cannot leave the issue at hand. The coach. Poor Mr. Ndlazi, one dedicated man, with no family in Swaziland, made to go without a salary and then now blamed because he is a disciplinarian, and cannot accept nonsense from the glory boys. It started with Nkomishi, then it was Pupu and now is Junior. These boys and their father should just leave the team. We cannot take it anymore. Eversince Ndlazi joined the team, word is he has never been paid a full salary. How does one live like that especially in a foreign country. Please Wanderers protect the image of the team, even if you fail to protect yours. Because the “MD” sees that now the issue of outstanding salaries will be explored he thinks he can just force the coach to go by turning him against the supporters as he did Mr. Sydney Nxumalo by spreading lies. This time it wont work. You owe it to Mr. Ndlazi to apologise and tell the entire Wanderers family the truth.
Professionalism
Maybe we are asking for too much on this subject. Stop the social network madness. Stop discussing serious team issues on the social media and this meetings at the open ground. Call proper meetings and discuss issues not people. As for the PR Office it’s a disgrace. How do you allow an ex-PRO to go to the live media and discuss issues at table and most of all lie about them. It shows you guys have no respect for the team.
I would like to thank the players for their commitment to the team and the coach for taking it to where it is without adequate resources. You have done us proud Mr. Ndlazi, even if they do not say so, the entire Manzini Wanderers is grateful. Thank You, Thank You and Thank You.
To the “MD”, please stop interfering with team selection. It is not the culture at Manzini Wanderers, maybe at Hellenic it is, but look at where it is now. Manzini Wanderers does not want to experience that.
To Manzini Wanderers supporters let us unite to stop this madness, titsa tiyasihleka, engabe yini nasekusondzele dvute lapho siyakhona bese siyadvungeka. Let us rally behind the team and if it is possible, the entire Management team should be relived of their duties as the working relationship between themselves and the coach has been dented.
