LOBAMBA – Army side Young Buffaloes’ players feel lack of concentration in the crucial moments of the game cost them the SwaziBank Cup title.

Buffaloes lost the evenly contested final 1-3 in front of more or less 8 000 soccer lovers at the Somhlolo National Stadium. Their security forces rivals, Royal Leopard, were crowned champions.
Speaking after the game, most of the players felt lapses in concentration allowed Leopard to win the tie in extra time.

Attacking midfielder, Wandile ‘Sko-sh’ Shabangu said they tried their best to win the game but were just unfortunate to end up on the losing side.
“We were back in it after we managed to score the equaliser but somehow that lapse in concentration cost us and Leopard took advantage.

Otherwise we played well and had a chance of winning the tie even though it was tough,” Shabangu said.
Overlapping left back, Muhle Dla-mini, also shared the same sentiments.

He said it was painful for them to lose despite preparing well for the game. “I also think the red card to Sikelela affected us so much because it was during extra time. Leopard took advantage that we were a man down to score. We had also prepared well for the game and the soccer fans must have watched a good final,” Dlamini said.
