RED LIONS LOOK TO RECLAIM SECOND SPOT

Tonight

FIXTURE: Red Lions vs Hellenic
VENUE: Mavuso Sports Centre
TIME: 6.30pm

MBABANE – Red Lions have found themselves dropping from second position to third after Mhlambanyatsi Rovers collected three points over the weekend to go above them, although the latter have played two more games.
The Manzini-based outfit must now play catch-up as they are also three games behind log leaders Mbabane Highlanders and 15 points behind, but what matters the most right now is that they go back to second spot so as to keep their promotion hopes in good standing.

Tonight they will be fighting for that objective; get three points, get to 27 points, one more than Rovers, and reclaim second spot with a game in hand. This is, therefore, not a match that Red Lions will want to lose, but they come up against a Hellenic side that has shifted gear ever since the return of Zwelibanzi ‘Botsotso’ Khoza towards the end of the first round. Hellenic are currently fifth with 21 points, thus they have everything to play for in this game because a win puts them on fourth, boosting their hopes of gaining promotion. This game, on paper, definitely promises to be a thrilling encounter because either club needs maximum points.
