MBABANE – Under-fire Green Mamba coach Gcina ‘Magiyane’ Dlamini has described prodigal son, striker Mbuso Gina as the tonic that was needed by his team to win games.

Gina returned to Green Mamba from RSSC United and scored the winning goal against Ludzeludze Young Brothers in the 2-1 victory of the opening games in the SwaziBank Cup.

He scored the winning goal in the 76th minute of the pulsating clash.
The Correctional Services side was given a scare by the Manzini Super League side when they were forced to come back from behind.
“He is one of a kind. I’m happy that he is back with the team; we need to work on his physical fitness then goals will start flowing.
“The team has not been able to find the back of the net which was contributing to the not so good performance,” he said.

Strikers

Green Mamba deregistered their strikers Welile Maseko and Musa Dlamini during the registration window period and went for their former player who also played for Mhlambanyatsi Rovers.

‘Magiyane’ said the game was tough against the Super League side. He said his side failed to utilise the chances that came their way.
“Playing against a team playing in the regions is not easy. You are always under pressure and today Gina came out to show his maturity upfront and scored the important goal. We are going to take each game as it comes,” he said.

Green Mamba have not been performing well since the start of the season. They have won four games and lost five while playing six dra

ws in the MTN Premier League.
They are eighth on the log with 18 points after 15 games.
‘Inyoka Eluhlazana’ will face Malanti Chiefs in the last 16 of the SwaziBank Cup.
