MBABANE – Frustrated out of contract Manzini Wanderers goalkeeper Xolani Mngomezulu is taking his team to the National Football Association of Swaziland (NFAS) Players Status Committee.

It has been gathered that the former Sihlangu goal minder, who is on the verge of signing for Mbabane Swallows, was frustrated after the hub giants refused to issue his free clearance. The Times Sports Desk has gathered that the hub giants are demanding a sum of E60 000 in respect of fines he allegedly owes the club for misconduct.

The player’s manager, TZD Sports Management Director Zakhele Dlamini’s negotiations with Wanderers over the player’s release to Swallows has reached a deadlock.

The player, who has been training with Swallows for the past two weeks, said he cannot say much on the matter referring this publication to the TZD Director Dlamini. Dlamini said he was still making some means to meet Wanderers again on the matter today. “If that fails again, we are going to consider other bodies such as the FA and the Status Committee to solve this matter. All what I want is to see the player playing football as that is what he wants,” Dlamini said.

Wanderers PRO Mduduzi Ginindza said he could not say much as the matter was being handled by the Managing Director (MD) Mduduzi ‘Tsotsi’ Mabila.
“We are not in any way interested in frustrating the player but there are some contractual obligations that need to be sorted by both parties. We don’t dispute that he is a free agent,” he said.
