MBABANE – MTN National First Division League side Red Lions striker Phinda ‘Phindrix’ Dlamini has rubbished reports that he is currently undergoing trials with South Africa’s Platinum Stars.

The report was carried by a local daily yesterday, which quoted Stars Manager Senzo Mazingisa confirming the presence of the player in their camp.
However, this newspaper conducted an interview with the player in Manzini yesterday – at the same time he was supposed to be undergoing the alleged trials with Stars.

“What trials? I didn’t go there because I have an injury that has not healed and have weight issues. My body condition is bad and I have a few personal problems which I am also resolving and Red Lions are helping me regain my fitness,” Dlamini explained.

The trials had been organised by his South African agency Recreation Zone Management.
This is the same agency that took Mbabane Swallows’ Felix Badenhorst to Moroka Swallows last week for trials.

The agency’s co-director Enerst Fakude had confirmed last Friday that Platinum Stars had invited the former Swazi international but they had to cancel the offer due to the player’s unavailability.
