Sivutsa friendly on Saturday

Ma-Highlanders we have reached the business end of our preparations for the upcoming season.
The technical bench had initially focused on the fitness levels of the players.

The last three weeks has seen the players training twice a day and being put through a rigorous training regime by the coaches and there has been a marked improvement in the fitness level of all players training with the club.
Now that the coaches are satisfied with the fitness levels, the focus has switched to the technical and tactical side of the training. The technical bench led by coach Alou Badara has started working on the team identity and style of play.

The director has made it clear that the footballing culture of Mbabane Highlanders must be retained and as such he has tasked the technical bench with focusing on our historic traditional strengths while delivering entertaining and more importantly winning football this season.
In order for the coach to continue to assess the players we have organised friendly games on Saturday August 10 against Mbombela United and Sivutsa FC in Nelspruit.
Further details around kick off times and transport arrangements will be announced tomorrow.

Another Change at Mbabane Highlanders

As I have previously stated that there are a number of changes taking place at Mbabane Highlanders and the latest change is with the clubs’ kit. This season Mbabane Highlanders will be playing in Puma branded kit.
This has been made possible by the tireless efforts of our Director Bheki Simelane and we wish to thank him for his seemingly limitless passion and commitment to the club. Puma has been associated with the club in the past and we are extremely happy to have re-established the relationship with them. We will be launching promotional merchandise and replicas once the final designs have been approved by the directors so watch this space for details on where you can acquire the promotional merchandise.

Swazi Telecom
Charity Cup

The climax of the Swazi Telecom Charity Cup has arrived and once again we take this opportunity to wish all the teams involved in the finals on Sunday all the best of luck. We again wish to encourage all football lovers to support the tournament and attend in numbers. The proceeds of this tournament all go to charity and as such we must all support the tournament. See you there!!

CONGRATULATIONS JEAN AND YIH YIH

Finally I was honoured to be part of the delegation representing the club at the wedding of our player Jean Nguimbous to his lovely wife Yih Yih at the Manzini club.
They are a beautiful young couple and it was amazing to see them commit their lives to each other.
On behalf of the patrons, directors, management Committee and supporters of Mbabane Highlanders we wish them all the best in their marriage and look forward to sharing other memorable moments with them in future.
Untill next week…Gwaza Nkunzi
