MBABANE – Army side Young Buffaloes are working around the clock to conclude the registration of the duo of Nhlanhla ‘Mshengu’ Kunene and Phinda Ginindza on time for Sunday’s Charity Cup match against Mbabane Swallows.

The players are already training with Buffaloes in preparation for the Swazi Telecom Charity Cup semi-final slated for Sunday at Somhlolo National Stadium.
A source close to the matter disclosed that Mbabane Swallows want E50 000 for Ginindza while Malanti Chiefs who turned down a E30 000 offer for Kunene may finally release the players.

“The players are already on the team’s plans for the Swazi Telecom Charity Cup. They are close at getting their clearances. They are doing all they can to secure the service of the players,” said the source.
Young Buffaloes PRO Sandile Gwebu said they were still in talks with the players’ teams. He said if things go well, they will play on Sunday but for now nothing had been finalised.

Buffaloes offered Malanti Chiefs E30 000 for Kunene, which was rejected while for Ginindza, reports suggest that Swallows want E50 000 for the former Umbelebele player.

“Nothing has been finalised yet. We are going to announce them officially once we have reached an agreement with their teams,” he said.
Gwebu invited their supporters to come in numbers to the game on Sunday. He said they were expecting the same support they got during the voting exercise.
