MBABANE – Royal Leopard have been handed a massive boost ahead of the game against Green Mamba on Sunday after securing a clearance for Sizwe Khumalo from Manzini Sundowns.

In fact, the police side who last week got former Manzini Sundowns front man Leonardo Bongso on a free transfer, are set to unleash the duo in the Swazi Telecom Charity Cup semi-final against the Correctional Services outfit.

Sundowns Chairman Mark Carmichael confirmed that the players had been officially cleared to the police side following successful negotiations between both clubs. He said it was their policy as a club not to frustrate their players when seeking greener pastures.
“Yes, Sizwe has been cleared together with Bongso. Khumalo has been one of the longest serving players in the team and his contribution is immeasurable. As a team we just wish him the best of luck with Leopard,” he said.

The chairman said their talks with Malanti Chiefs over the clearance of Wonder ‘Samba Jive’ Nhleko were still ongoing.
Leopard PRO Frank Hurube thanked Sundowns for their cooperation throughout the negotiations. He assured the team’s supporters that Khumalo will be available for selection for the Mamba game while they were eagerly waiting for Bongso’s work permit.

“We are in a process of securing a work permit for the player. We remain optimistic that he will play on Sunday also,” he said.
Last season both teams, exchanged defenders Jerome Ntjalintjali and Phumlani Dlamini on two seasons loan deal.
