Bull' has advantage over Birds'

As always noted that the form book counts for nothing in the derby, do not read much into the teams’ current standings on the MTN League chart. They could be deceiving. It was proven beyond reasonable doubt last season when the black and white Mbabane Highlanders served thin slices of humble pie to their opponents in almost similar circumstances.

Highlanders had recorded only one win going into the game – just like this time when their only victory was the 1-0 win over big league returnees Midas City.

The ‘Black Bull’ as Highlanders are affectionately known will also be aided by the fact that unlike the last time, Swallows could be at their lowest. The team spirit in the red and white corner is not what it is known to be and this is where Highlanders can capitalise to punish Swallows.

Make no mistake about it though: the ‘Birds’ despite a somewhat miserable outing against rookies, Sea Birds could still stun Highlanders. They are more than capable of doing that. Swallows have one of the most potent attackers in the league even though they seemed to freeze when it really mattered in the last two outings against Young Buffaloes and Sea Birds respectively.
