MBABANE – A mere single goal sets apart Manzini Wanderers’ Lindiwe Dlamini and Young Buffaloes’ Simangele Sikhondze in the Women’s National Football League’s (WNFL) top scorers charts.

Lindiwe Dlamini, the captain and sharpshooter of Manzini Wanderers, has surged ahead with 29 goals to her name as Wanderers have already concluded the season. In contrast, Young Buffaloes are set to play their final game today at Eqinisweni Sports Ground, where they are poised to be crowned champions for the third consecutive season. Meanwhile, occupying the second spot on the top scorer’s charts is Young Buffaloes’ Simangele Sikhondze, currently with 28 goals ahead of their last fixture against the log anchors, Mbekelweni. Notably, Mbekelweni has conceded the most goals in the season, tallying at 106.

Furthermore, Buffaloes scored 11 goals in their first-round fixture against Mbekelweni, a statistic that Simangele will seek to add to her tally to surpass Lindiwe, whom she trails by a solitary goal. Impressively, Simangele Skhondze led the pack in week 11, netting 15 goals in 11 games. Just behind her was her teammate and team captain, Tenanile Ngcamphalala, with an impressive tally of 14 goals, closely trailing Skhondze in the goal-scoring rankings and fostering healthy competition for the army side.
