MBABANE – “The most important thing is to try and inspire people so that they can be great in whatever they want to do.”

The above quote by Kobe Bryant sounds true for International Federation of Football Association (FIFA)-accredited Agent Dingane Maduma, who is continuing with his journey to empower the country’s elite league coaches. Maduma has been organising coaching sessions for the local gaffers from the start of the 2023/24 MTN Premier League season, through the Zoom platform every Thursday night.

Following the success of these coaching sessions, Green Mamba award-winning Head Coach Ernest Mavuso and Young Buffaloes Assistant gaffer Sabelo ‘Sikhaya’ Mnisi were attached to DStv Premiership side Supersport United. The two coaches were taken through on how to prepare preseason’s sessions by Coach Gavin Hunt. Maduma said as the season would end this coming weekend; he had enlisted the services of former Kaizer Chiefs gaffer Stuart Baxter for this campaign’s review. “As the season 2023/2024 draws to an end, it is wise we close it in style in the education forum. We should have a post-season virtual coaching meeting headed by Coach Stuart Baxter,” Maduma said.

He revealed that the session to reflect on the season was scheduled to take place next week Saturday through the Zoom platform starting at 8pm. “This is just a reflection of the season and suggestions are welcome,” he said. Maduma further wished the gaffers all the best as they prepared for their weekend league matches. One of the local coaches said the empowerment they got from the South African mentors had helped him to grow in the sport and was looking forward to the end of season review. It is worth mentioning that Mbabane Swallows are the champions of the MTN Premier League season with a game to play after narrowly beating Ezulwini United 1-0, this past Saturday at Mkhuzweni Technical Centre.

: Squatters on farms
The influx of squatters on farms will always be a challenge unless chiefs are salaried and regulated by government. Do you agree with this sentiment shared by farm owners?
