MBABABNE – Eswatini export in Banele ‘Stiga’ Ndzabandzaba’s Police XI prop up the Botswana Premier League (BPL) log standings after week 26.

With four games remaining in the league, Police Xi has a possible 12 points that might just propel the club out of the dreaded area. They currently have a three point deficit between them and 13th placed Eleven Angels on 23 points and currently sit a place above the relegation zone. The possible 12 points can only work in the favour of Police XI if Holy Ghost in 15th,  14th-placed Morupule Wanderers in  and Eleven Angels fail to win at least three of the remaining fixtures.

Police XI also head into match week 27 with two suspensions, where Thabiso Boti and Karabo Setoutwe both had cumulative yellow cards. Moreover, the BPL has since improved some of the incentives that players have up for grabs based on their performances, where the latest addition is players who have scored a hat trick will now be able to get the match ball. This was revealed by the Botswana Football League (BFL) CEO, Bennett Mamelodi, on May 10 through a press release.
