MBABANE – Superstars Football Club were crowned champions of the E35 000 Futi’s Nkhaba Regional League, this past Saturday.

Superstars were awarded gold medals and a trophy. The Nkhaba Regional grand closing took place at Majotini Sports Ground.  The league was sponsored by renowned eatery outlet Futi’s.
Futi’s Operations Manager Rotta Munroe said they were happy about the success of the league and that they hoped to continue having a strong relationship with the Nkhaba people.
“We just want to thank all the people from Nkhaba for making this day a success. This day gave us the opportunity to showcase what we know better than cooking chicken. I was so impressed with the skills that I observed today. We also want to thank all the players who took part in the tournament. Futi’s has been sponsoring this competition for quite some time. Our relationship has been good and we hope it will last forever,” Munroe said.

Meanwhile, Superstars captain Linda Dlamini extended his greatest appreciation to their sponsor, Futi’s and the Hhohho Regional Football Association (HRFA) at large. “As Nkhaba youth, we just want to take the opportunity to thank Futi’s for sponsoring us. We also want to thank the Hhohho Football Association for granting us the chance to showcase our skills. We have played a number of tournaments having no company or organisation to sponsor us.

“We pray for unity among the Nkhaba community so we can continue growing and developing sports in our community in the upcoming years,” Dlamini said. He further mentioned that having such league tournaments was not only to pass the time, but it united them as the youth and further helped them to keep their minds busy to avoid finding themselves doing things that would put their lives in danger. Meanwhile, Majoyini Rebels were crowned runners-up of the competition.
