MBABANE – “It is going to be a tough battle, but we will die with our boots on; we do not wish Swallows to be crowned in our presence.”

These were the words of Ezulwini United Head Coach Mpumelelo Ngwenya during an interview ahead of their MTN Premier League clash against capital city giants Mbabane Swallows. Ngwenya disclosed that it was not going to be an easy game, but they would try everything in their power to get at least one point to survive relegation.

“Mbabane Swallows are a big team and they are on form. Everyone is usually not at ease when going to play against them; you need to be fully prepared. They already see championships right at their doorstep. They know very well that by winning the game, they will be automatically crowned League champions,” Ngwenya said. The former Ludzeludze Killers coach further mentioned that they were prepared well for the game and they were hoping to get positive results even though he would be missing one of his players due to an injury.

“Since we are facing one of the competing teams in the Premier League, then we need to work hard and get positive results.  We take the tag of being an underdog  and we will go and fight.  We have prepared the players physically and have prepared them mentally as well. We are still missing our versatile player Thabiso Sithole, who has been out on injury, otherwise, the rest of the squad is there. Anyone who will get the opportunity to play will display his skills for the betterment of the team.”

Meanwhile, Mbabane Swallows Head Coach Caleb Ngwenya revealed that they prepared well for the game and that he wished his players could not  have any pressure going into this game. “Everyone is doing well; it is my biggest wish for the boys to focus and concentrate on the game. On my side, I always take one game at a time and I have always mentioned that the most important game is the next game. We do have injuries even though they are just knocks from the previous game. I think it will be determined by the doctors if they are fit for the game.

“We will really appreciate to feel the presence of our supporters once again. The players get extra energy from them as our 12th player, so they should come in their numbers as always to cheer up the boys,” Ngwenya said. Swallows will lock horns with ‘Stingers’ today at Mkhuzweni Technical Centre at 3pm.
