NATIONAL U-17S SET FOR SA FRIENDLY GAMES

MBABANE – The Eswatini Under-17 boys and girls will be leaving the kingdom tomorrow morning for their international friendly games set to take place at Silobela Stadium in South Africa.

The games will kick off tomorrow at 10am, starting off with a match-up between Passion Ladies Under-17s up against their Eswatini  counterparts. The second game will commence at noon, with Eswatini Under-17s boys taking on Young Boys. Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Marketing and Communications Manager, Muzi Radebe confirmed the latest developments and stated that the international friendly games was part of their training programme.

“The international friendly games have been organised to equip the youngsters as they have embarked on a training programme that we are still working on,” Radebe said. Meanwhile, the Eswatini Women Football Association has postponed week 18 games that were scheduled for this coming weekend to next week. This is due to the international trip.

“The EWFA hereby notifies members that the week 18 games that were scheduled for this coming weekend have been postponed to next week Wednesday May 1, 2024,” reads an extract from the statement.  The EWFA also encouraged clubs to utilise this time to train their players in preparation for the return of the games next week.
