KALANGA DOUBLE-HEADERS’ HOME

MBABANE – The KaLanga Technical Centre outside Siteki is now the new ‘home’ to MTN Premier League double-headers.

The third Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Technical Centre played host to a double-header, this past weekend, which featured the match between Denver Sundowns and Ezulwini United. The other match was that of Young Buffaloes against Mbabane Highlanders. The venue will once again play host to yet another double-header as per the MTN Premier League Week 23 programme released by the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Kenneth Makhanya, yesterday.

It is worth mentioning that all the elite league matches have been penned for Saturday, with KaLanga Technical Centre hosting the Mbabane Highlanders versus Denver Sundowns match at 1pm. The second game is that of Madlenya and Rangers at 3pm.

Leaders

MTN Premier League log leaders Mbabane Swallows, on the other hand, will welcome Manzini Sea Birds at their new ‘slaughterhouse’, the Mkhuzweni Technical Centre. The match is penned to kick off at 3pm. Defending champions Green Mamba are set to play Ezulwini United at the Simunye Stadium at 3pm. The Nsukuwansuku Stadium in Mhlume will play host to the Royal Leopard and Moneni Pirates match, while Manzini Wanderers will face Young Buffaloes at Mayaluka in Big Bend.

Shiselweni-based side Nsingizini Hotspurs will play host to the Illovo at the King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium. All the games will start at 3pm. Meanwhile, in the MTN National First Division, the games will start tomorrow, with the replay between Pigg’s Peak Rangers and CK Survivors taking centre stage at the Killarney Sports Ground.

This match was cancelled due to the unavailability of match officials. The other games will be played on Sunday across the country. A win for Sisonke against Ludzeludze Killers will guarantee them a place in the Premier League next season.
