MBABANE – It is official; the renowned Manzini teams will now finish outside the top five on the MTN Premier League charts.

These are Manzini Wanderers, Denver Sundowns and Moneni Pirates.  With five games to spare, Sundowns are currently contenders for the wooden spoon with 15 points. Hub giants Wanderers are two points above them, occupying the 13th spot with 17 points. They share this number of points with Moneni Pirates after 21 games played. Their positions on the log have already disadvantaged them from finishing fifth to earn the E100 000 prize money. Currently, this position is occupied by Nsingizini Hotspurs, who are on 35 points.

The remaining 15 points on offer could take Pirates and Wanderers to the sixth spot if they manage to win all their remaining fixtures. Also to finish outside the top five are Ezulwini United.
The sixth position, worth E75 000, is currently held by Mbabane Highlanders, who are on 32 points, with Illovo at 29 points. Teams finishing outside the top six on the charts now get E40 000. In the past, only the top six used to be rewarded.
