MBABANE – After dominating the SBS Mbabane Zone Netball League, champions Mbabane Raiders have set their sights on a bigger stage.

Having withdrawn from the Swaziland Building Society (SBS) elite league this season, Raiders Coach Nkabinde Shabalala has stated they are poised for a comeback. Shabalala said that this time around , they aimed to be a force to be reckoned with, challenging the netball powerhouses of the country.

“The plan now is to elevate them to the higher echelons of competition, which is the elite league. We will also participate in a tournament in South Africa to expose our youthful squad.

Formiddable

“The goal is to have them become a formidable opponent for teams like REPS and Correctional within the next two to three years,” the coach said.   Royal  Eswatini Police Service (REPS) are currently the frontrunners in the elite women’s league. They clinched the first round title, while Correctional secured victories in both rounds the previous season.
