BODYBUILDER SIMANGA MAZIYA EXCELS IN SA

MBABANE – “It’s a dream come true.”

This is reaction from ace bodybuilder Simanga Maziya after conquering a tournament in South Africa. The Heartfelt arena based in South Africa (SA), Pretoria, presented the Physical Culture Association’s (PCA’s) Legends. It was dubbed the, ‘Who Will You Inspire Next’. Maziya of Eswatini completely dominated. The seasoned and shining bodybuilder mentioned that after 20 plus years of competing in South Africa, this was the first event that he won with flying colours. Maziya was not the only Eswatini representative. He was accompanied by Mpumi Dlamini, Manqoba Mamba and Celumusa Mavuso who supported the body builders at the event.

“I got gold for the best routine, as well as in the under 90kg senior men’s category, however my highlight was taking the overall trophy back home,” Maziya said during an interview. The event had both male and female categories, in which Mphumi Dlamini represented the country in. Worth mentioning is that last year Arnaldo Barbosa, founder of Barbosa Classics, qualified and won gold in the African Championships held in Cape Town. This then enabled him to qualify for a prestigious body building event in the United Kingdom (UK), the Physical Culture Association (PCA) World Championships. Having said that it is clear that the influence the senior bodybuilder has had on the younger ones has had a positive impact.
