NYANGA UPBEAT
MBABANE – “The team-building exercise really helped.”
These were the remarks of Manzini Wanderers ‘prodigal son’ Nyanga ‘Crooks’ Hlophe, who revealed to this publication that the recently-ended team building exercise which was held at Sibebe Resort last Sunday afternoon helped. The former Mbabane Swallows coach mentioned that he observed a huge improvement in the team. “The team now trains twice a week which is something I need to improve the fitness levels of the players. From what I have seen in this week’s training sessions, I can confidently say that the boys are motivated for the game against Madlenya (tomorrow) and I’m expecting a very good response,” the gaffer said.
Hlophe, who is the oldest coach in the country at 70, further urged the Wanderers supporters to come to the game against Madlenya to show support to the players. “I plead with all the supporters to come in their big numbers to the game on Saturday,” he added. Meanwhile, the hub giants will be looking for their first win in the MTN Premier League under ‘Crooks’ when the maroon and white outfit face Madlenya tomorrow at Mavuso Sports Centre.
