TOP 40, OVER E50K FOR NOBUHLE
MBABANE – Talk about starting the year on a high note.
That is the story of Lobamba-born ace golfer Nobuhle Dlamini, who looks determined to reach for the stars in this season’s Sunshine Ladies Tour. She has just earned herself E51 116.80 in the Investec South African Women Open, which was concluded this past weekend. Her opening round of 69 proved to be the difference on the road to finishing on a fair three-under-par 285 after four rounds. The competition was played at Steenberg Golf Club from Wednesday to Saturday. Overall, Dlamini came position 33 out of over 130 golfers.
According to information sourced from the Sunshine Ladies Tour’s website, Ashleigh Buhai of South Africa clinched the Investec South African Women’s Open Championship by a four-stroke margin. “In the end, the final round of Buhai’s fourth national title was something of a victory lap, as she started the day with a four-stroke edge. Her four-under-par 68 to finish the Sunshine Ladies Tour and Ladies European Tour’s co-sanctioned tournament meant the gap was still four after runner-up Ana Pelaez Trivino of Spain also carded a 68,” reads the shared information in part. After the Investec, Dlamini has managed to rake in E243 371 in less than three months. She earned E65 000 in the Dimension Data Ladies Pro-Am and over E28 000 in the Jabra Ladies Classic and E98 000 in the Joburg Ladies Open, among other winnings.
