MBABANE – Mbabane Swallows General Manager (GM) Sandile ‘Beyond 2000’ Zwane has come out to warn the club’s supporters against unsporting behaviour during their games.

The former national team Sihlangu manager said it was key to remind their supporters about desisting from unsporting behaviour, as it came with negative impact on their beloved club.
The seasoned football administrator made these remarks on Eswatini Broadcasting and Information Services (EBIS 1) Sports Show, hosted by Nathi ‘Mdockies’ Hlophe yesterday. “I was called by the office of the CEO from PLE on Friday to give me a statement since the season started, we have not received our gate takings and this statement reflected an amount around E150 000,” Zwane said.

He said this amount was not solely caused by the team supporters, but urged them to behave well during the games. “I would like to urge our supporters to follow the necessary channels for voicing out their concerns when something is not going right during our games in the field of play,” he said. The erstwhile Umkhonto KaShaka goal custodian urged their fans to desist from insulting match officials and avoid being on zones that they were not permitted to occupy at stadia. “Just walking on a zone that you are not permitted to walk on, the summary fine for that is E20 000. The money was close to E100 000, but it has now been reduced as the PLE takes all our gate takings. The CEO highlighted that we will not get the money as we are failing to educate our fans,” he said.
