MBABANE – The MTN Premier League game between Green Mamba and Tambankulu Callies has been shifted to KaLanga Technical Centre.

The game was initially scheduled to take place at Mayaluka Stadium in Big Bend tomorrow, starting at 2pm. The Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) released an amended fixture for both the MTN Premier League and National First Division (NFD) League yesterday, with the game now billed for the Eswatini Football Association’s (EFA) KaLanga Technical Centre and it would now be played an hour earlier. The venue will now play host to a double header as this fixture joins the game between Royal Leopard against rookies Seven Dreams at 3pm. This match was initially scheduled to take place at 2pm.

Amended

The amended fixtures, which were released by the PLE Chief Operations Officer (COO), Pat Vilakati, saw the games shifted to an hour later as the first ones were an hour earlier. Meanwhile, the fixture for the MTN NFD matches were also affected as they would now be played an hour earlier. It is worth mentioning that the teams, especially those from the security forces, Royal Leopard, Young Buffaloes and Green Mamba, are concerned about their safety due to the unrest currently faced in the country.

The teams felt that their games should be played earlier so that they could finish before it became dark. On Wednesday, Ingwe Mabalabala had to be escorted to the King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium, where they were playing rookies Nsingizini Hotspurs.
The defending champions were shocked by the rookies, as they lost the game 1-0.
