MBABANE- Fans who had bought the MoMo Cup playoffs tickets at E60 will have the E10 refunded back to them.

This comes as a result of early birds fans buying the tickets for tomorrow’s play-offs matches at Mavuso Sports Centre for E60. This was the initial price when the tickets were available on the market through MTN MoMo as of Wednesday. The price was later reduced to E50 and this happened yesterday morning. “We had only four fans buying the tickets at the initial price but they will get reimbursed the extra charge of E10,” MTN Fintech Products and Services officer Mcolisi Dlamini said.

He had been questioned if they had already sold any tickets for the initial price and if so, how many were sold as well as how they would handle those fans. With the play-offs set for tomorrow at Mavuso Sports Centre in Manzini, Dlamini encouraged supporters of all teams and the four involved to fill up the stadium as 6 000 tickets were available. He said the tickets could be purchased through MoMo Market Place (7808 400) or at selected MTN Service Centres. Various towns like Mbabane, Ezulwini, Matsapha, Nhlangano, Manzini, Siteki and Pigg’s Peak sell the tickets. Gates will open at 7am.

Match

The first match is between Mbabane Highlanders against Manzini Wanderers at 9am before a hub derby between Denver Sundowns and Manzini Sea Birds at 11am. The final is scheduled for 4pm. The winner of the playoffs will join the main tournament on October 30, whereby Moneni Pirates, Rangers and Nsingizini Hotspurs who all voted highest in the qualifying voting process, await as E600 000 is the ultimate prize.
