COTON FORGET PLAYING KIT AT OR TAMBO

MANZINI – They have been dealt a major blow.

That is the story of Royal Leopard TOTALEnergies CAF Champions opponents Coton Sport, who reportedly left their luggage at OR Tambo International Airport, South Africa yesterday morning while on their way to the country. According to a source close to the matter, some of the items left behind included soccer boots, balls, kit and some of their training equipment.

The team is in the country to play the police side in the second round of the TOTALEnergies CAF Champions League preliminaries. The game is set for tomorrow at Mavuso Sports Centre. Kick-off time is 3pm. “They discovered that they left some of their luggage in Johannesburg when they arrived at King Mswati (KM) III International Airport. They had to make amends and luckily their belongings were still in good and safe place. They were told to come fetch them,” said the source.

When the Head Coach Ernest Agbor was asked about this, he confirmed that some of their luggage was left in South Africa. “The technical director is sorting that. They left for South Africa to get the remainder of our luggage,” said Agbor. Asked if upon discovering if it did it not unsettle the team ahead of the CAF Champions League first leg clash, he said; “Luckily we had some of our soccer balls, soccer boots and training kit were here so we managed to proceed with training while waiting for the other things,” he said.

The team is currently booked at The George Hotel and yesterday they had their first training session at Enjabulweni School Sports Ground. The Cameroonian side came with a delegation of 30, which comprises of 20 players and 10 officials. They will today have their second training session at Mavuso Sports Centre, at 6pm.They should be having their session at 3pm, but due to the ongoing COSAFA Cup under 20 games, they had to be shifted to 6pm.
