6 000 FREE COSAFA CHAMPS TICKETS OUT

The Council of Southern African Football Association (COSAFA) has issued 6 000 tickets for the opening games today. Hosts, Eswatini begin their campaign against Botswana while Mauritius and Zambia face off in the opening game at Somhlolo National Stadium.This year’s edition of the COSAFA Under-20 Men’s Championship gets underway today in the country following its cancellation at the 11th hour due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which restricted travelling among countries last year.

Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Marketing and Communications Officer Muzi ‘Rhoo’ Radebe revealed that 6 000 tickets were out for today’s games and interested football enthusiasts could get them from three outlets. “The supporters can get the free tickets at Eswatini Mobile Centres, Nedbank outlets as well as from the offices of EFA,” Radebe said. Radebe explained that the purpose of the tickets was for control measures to avoid overcrowding at the playing venues during the games, which will also act as qualifiers for the 2023 TOTALEnergies Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be hosted in Egypt next year. The tournament will be played at the Somhlolo National Stadium at Lobamba as well as the Mavuso Sports Centre in Manzini for the next nine days.
