MBABANE – The fifth edition of the MegaSound Picnic themed ‘Kumnandzi Eswatini’ will feature a variety of sporting activities, including football where the top-ranked team will walk away with E10 000.

The entertainment event will be held on October 15 at the Prince of Wales Ground in Mbabane. It will include a variety of activities some of them being  a football tournament, volleyball and fitness boot camp. The sporting events have provided participants with an opportunity to increase their involvement in physical fitness activities and demonstrate courage. It was seen by the organisers to be a strong enough cause to include the sports section thus allowing people with different interests to gather in one place and have a great time. This year’s event has gone through serious refurbishments. The event will be two days long, beginning from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning. The festivities and social arrangements available include matches scheduled for the main day, Saturday.

Action will begin as early as 10am where the social teams will go head-to-head. A total of eight teams will be allowed to enter the competition and each team is expected to have a total of 15 players. The second-placed team can also look forward to a E5 000 prize. The event is aimed at bringing back unity and love to families and removing the notion that there are different activities for each gender. “Families have struggled to be bonded together in different ways while enjoying life,” said MegaSound Events Director Samkelo ‘Zulu D’ Zulu. He mentioned that the event would afford families a platform to tighten their bond through all that the MegaSound Entertainment had to offer. As this is a musical event, fun-lovers can expect to be serenaded by internationally renowned superstars such as Sjava, Kelvin Momo and Smith Bosso, not shying away from the locally brewed talent of the The Bishops, Supa CDQ and Sbu De Drum DJ, just to name a few.
