GIFTED SAMKELO EYES ‘BULL’ MOVE

MBABANE – Tambuti out-of-contract attacking midfielder Samkelo Nkonyane is eager to join capital giants Mbabane Highlanders this coming season.
The former Mbabane Highlanders juniors’ player said his two-year contract with the sugar-belt side expired at the end of the past season and he did not intend to continue playing for the Clement ‘King Clay’ Mdluli-led side.

The player said he had been contacted by a number of elite league sides, with Green Mamba being the main one which showed more interest than the others. “Yes my contract has expired at Tambuti and they have shown interest in engaging me again, but now I want a new challenge for me to grow as a player,” Nkonyane said. He also said Mbabane Highlanders called him recently to acquire about his services as he was groomed by them in his early days.

“I played for Highlanders juniors in 2018/19, before joining Tambuti. I will be happy to rejoin them as my dream is to play in the derby,” he said.
The 22-year old player said should he fail secure a move back to  Highlanders, his next stop would be with the correctional side, since out of all the teams they were the ones who showed a lot of interest. No immediate comment could be reached from Tambuti, as Coach Clement ‘King Clay’ Mdluli’s phone was not available.

His representative Zwakele Simelane also confirmed that the player’s contract with Tambuti had expired and would be meeting him over the weekend to forge a way forward before the league kick-off.
