ALLY RESHUFFLES ‘BULL’ MC

MBABANE – Mbabane Highlanders Managing Director (MD) Chief Ally Kgomongwe has announced a new Managing Committee (MC) for the coming season.

The MD through the club’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) Mandla Madonsela announced the 11-member MC this past Saturday during the Bull’s celebratory party held at CODEC in Ezulwini. The black and white capital city giants have qualified to play in the continent’s second biggest inter-club football tournament, after nine years, as they came second in the ended MTN Premier League season.

The MC is headed by Clement Dlamini, who is the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He is not new at Mbabane Highlanders having served as an assistant manager to Josiah ‘Digger’ Dlamini back in 2019.The new committee saw Simiso ‘Space’ Jele retaining his post as the club’s manager. Mandla Madonsela alongside Gcina Dlamini and Bonginkosi Dlamini tightened their grip on positions of being the PRO and team doctors, respectively.

In the new MC, former National Supporters Committee (NSC) Chairman Kenneth Dlamini has taken the position of the club’s organiser. Madonsela also announced the security of the team, which will be led by Ronnie Sibandze and this team comprises of 12 members. He finally introduced to the supporters an interim NSC to be chaired by Mfanzile ‘Fash’ Dlamini and its Secretary General (SG) is Sizwe ‘Mpapane’ Ndlovu.

“As the MD said that we need a strong structure in the MC; we hope that this team will take Mbabane Highlanders where our leader want it to be; we wish them the best of luck in their new tasks bestowed upon them,” Madonsela said after introducing the three new structures. Meanwhile, Highlanders return to Africa to play in the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup after finishing as runners-up to Royal Leopard. With no knockout at the moment, especially the EswatiniBank Cup, the league’s second best gets a ticket to Africa’s second-tier football tournament. Leopard, on the other hand, are the country’s envoys in Africa’s premier club competition styled CAF Champions League.
