MBABANE – Moneni Pirates Manager Twoman Masuku said he was blank on the possibilities of Coach Gcina Dlamini returning to steer the ‘Sea Robbers’ ship.

The former Manzini Sea Birds coach resigned from the Moneni-based side, saying luck was not on his side after their 0-2 defeat by Mbabane Highlanders at the Mavuso Sports Centre about a fortnight ago. Masuku said he was yet to meet with the team management during the FIFA week and that was where he would be given feedback about the coaching developments at the team. “I’m still waiting for a directive from the management about coaching developments in the club and I will give you feedback after I have met with them; for now, I can’t say anything,” he said.

The coach has expressed his desire to return to the team, which is flirting with the chop on 22 points in 24 games. The ‘Buccaneers’ of Moneni are four points ahead of table-proppers Tinyosi. Interviewed this past Monday, Dlamini said he had a change of heart now and he was ready to bounce back to the team, as he felt the management had dealt with the issues that affected him. “I am ready to assist the team going forward, as it looks like they have addressed the challenges I faced during my time there. Pirates will always be my home, as I have a strong relationship with the players and management,” Dlamini said.

He said he was happy to see the team finally scoring on the weekend in the Manzini derby against Manzini Wanderers. “It looks like the concerns I raised to the management have been addressed, as the team scored two goals in the previous game against Wanderers,” he said. He also said the issues he had with the team were not financially related ,as he was well taken care at the team. He further said that the management had not yet contacted him, but was waiting for their call as he was ready to fight with the team to cheat the relegation axe.
