COSAFA APPOINTS PSPF CEO

MBABANE – While he is still settling in as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Public Service Pensions Fund (PSPF), there is another appointment for Bernard Masotja Vilakati.

He has since been appointed in the Council of Southern African Football Association (COSAFA) Governance Committee.

He will be serving as the Deputy to Chairman Olivier Chang-Leng. Vilakati was nominated by the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) and he eventually got appointed in the committee.
“Following your nomination by the Football Association of your respective countries, COSAFA executive committee duly recommended to the General Assembly to appoint you to the COSAFA Governance Committee,” reads a letter directed to Vilakati. According to the letter, his appointment was approved by the General Assembly, convened virtually, on April 4, 2022.

“We, therefore, have great pleasure to formally welcome you to this committee. “Your first, and immediate responsibility will be to examine the nominations that have been received from Member Football Associations and in this regard, you will be contacted in the next few days by COSAFA’s Electoral Body,” reads part of the letter. Vilakati confirmed having received the letter but referred further comments to the EFA. EFA Communications and Marketing Officer Muzi Radebe said all issues concerning COSAFA will be deliberated during the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
