MBABANE – Mbabane Swallows veteran midfielder Wonder ‘Samba Jive’ Nhleko has eventually dusted his soccer boots as he has been registered with Umkhonto KaShaka.

The former Malanti Chiefs player was promoted to the development department of the club after the 2020/21 MTN Premier League season ended. He, however, expressed his desire to continue playing regardless of the position the team gave him. Incole’bovu Marketing and Communications Officer Mancoba Mabuza confirmed that Nhleko had been signed as a player again. “Yes, Wonder is back as a player,” Mabuza briefly said. He also said that the Musa Manyatsi-led side had promoted another player from their development side to the senior team.
“Tito Hleta was promoted from our juniors to the senior team,” he said. The former South Africa’s Black Leopard winger (Nhleko) is expected to mark his official return to top flight football tomorrow at Mavuso Sports Centre against Milling Hot spurs in an MTN Premier League encounter, scheduled to kick off at 1pm.

The spokesperson then clarified the issue surrounding the return of former Coach Christopher Ennin into the ‘Birds nest’ and his position. “We don’t have someone by the name of Coach Ennin at Swallows – our coaching department at the moment is headed by Musa Manyatsi and supported by Siyabonga Bhembe,” he said.
