A ‘SEA’ BATTLE BETWEEN ‘BIRDS’, ‘ROBBERS’

MBABANE - A hub derby away from Manzini!

These are two sides that have dropped from the form they oozed at some point in the first round of the league. Sea Birds were good starters as they were in charge and held the summit for at least three weeks before things changed. Pirates, you can call them ‘Sea Robbers’ as well, did not have the best of starts in the opening two matches, but quickly bounced back with some exciting football under coach Gcina Dlamini before dropping again midway through. Who will win this battle and take home the bragging rights?

Sea Birds are hosting home away from home and they know the task ahead is enormous and for them to stand a chance to return to the top four a win is essential. must aim well

Both sides have some exciting talent, but Sea Birds have more experience than the youthful Pirates side with a few experienced individuals. The likes of second leading top scorer with 10 goals Muzi Tsabedze, birthday boy, early in the week, Xolani ‘Chocco’ Sibandze, Gcinizwi Dlamini and Wandile Nhleko lead Sea Birds while Pirates will look up to teamwork first then the brilliance of individuals in exciting versatile attacking midfielder Mphumuzi Sangweni, Sibonelo Simelane and national team debutant call up in midfielder Mpendulo Tfomo.

Not won a match

Pirates have not won a match in their last five, which makes it all the reason to fight here. They are certainly underdogs in this one but without a doubt, when up for it, they can get something out of the match as their football can be quite a spectacle. Both desperately need the full points - it’s a derby with all to play for. Sea Birds won the battle in the reverse fixture, 1-0 it was. Last season Pirates did a double on Sea Birds, winning 3-2 and 2-1, respectively so goals can be expected.
