‘SLY’ COACHING CERTIFICATE APPROVED

MBABANE – Mbabane Highlanders coach Seloatse ‘Sly’ Mosala is cleared to work as the ‘Black Bull’ head coach.

The South African coach, was unveiled last week Thursday by Mbabane Highlanders Managing Director (MD) Chief Ally Kgomongwe at the team’s clubhouse in Ezulwini. Mosala was hired to replace former Coach Ernest Mavuso after his contract was terminated with ‘Inkunzemnyama’. The Mbabane Highlanders coach holds a UEFA A License, which is equivalent to the CAF A License. The CAF A License is one of the qualifications needed to coach a Premier League team in the country. Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Technical Director Boy ‘Bizzah’ Mkhonta said for a coach to be eligible to work with a premier league side; he or she should have a CAF A License or EFA Diploma Coaching Certificate.

“The MTN Premier League rules will give you a clear picture on the issue of the coach, go and read them,” Mkhonta said. Meanwhile, Eswatini Football Coaches Association (EFCA) Musa Mamba said for a coach to be admitted to work in the country, he or she should meet four requirements, which were being a member of EFCA, through EFA, should have a work permit, should produce his contract and have a coaching license. The MTN League Rules and regulations in Article 15 (4) (a) (i) state that: “All coaches of the Premier League football clubs shall possess, as a minimum requirement the following, all head coaches must possess the CAFA License or EFA Diploma Coaching Certificate and must be members of EFA,”
