MBABANE – Green Mamba are strengthening their technical bench.

They roped in their former player Sifiso ‘Haiso’ Dlamini, who will be assisting head coach Dumisani Makhanya. His first assignment will be their match against capital city giants Mbabane Highlanders. The match is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium, starting at 3pm.
These new developments were confirmed by Green Mamba Public Relations Officer (PRO) Mandla Sibiya. With the experience and passion that Dlamini has for football, Sibiya said the former player was the rightful candidate for the job as he would focus on grooming the younger players who are already playing in the senior team.

Legend

“Both of them are officers and it’s a good thing that they are in charge of the team. When you speak of Green Mamba, ‘Haiso’s name stands out as a legend. He grew up playing for the team and retired here so we believe that he will instill focus and discipline in the players while working with Makhanya,” said Sibiya.
Green Mamba and Highlanders are tied on 10 points and the only thing separating them is a four-goal difference, which places Highlanders on the second spot behind log leaders Royal Leopard. The Correctional Services team is in position three. The two sides both have three wins and one draw.
Efforts to get a comment from the new assistant coach were in vain as his phone rang unanswered.
