MBABANE – There is only one player that has scored a hat-trick this season.

That is Manzini Sea Birds’ Muzi Tsabedze, who was unstoppable in the 3-all draw against Vovovo on Sunday at Prince of Wales Sports Ground. He is now closely behind leading top goalscorer Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa, who is proving to be a devastating goal-scoring machine as he scores in every game he plays in. Tsabedze has scored five goals so far while Ndzinisa increased his tally to seven with only four games played. Action was all over and the struggle continues for Young Buffaloes who settled for a goalless draw against Tinyosi and they are now bottom of the table and this goes down as the worst start in recent years for the security team. Here are the things that you may have missed.

Thumbs up to ‘Bull’ fans, health

Despite the few numbers that are attending the MTN Premier League games, Highlanders supporters continue to stand out. They are always bringing life to the stadium with their singing and cheering of the team. On Saturday they brought life to Siteki where they witnessed their side beating Denver Sundowns 3-1 at KaLanga Technical Centre. Mbabane Swallows and Manzini Wanderers supporters are also not left behind as they are also showing love for their teams. The effort made by the Ministry of Health in getting the nation vaccinated is also not going unnoticed as officials are always available during the MTN Premier League games to vaccinate fans who want to watch the games. They are stationed almost in all the venues where the games are played.

First things all around for ‘Birds’

It was first of everything for the Swallows of Mbabane. They celebrated their first win of the season after four matches and cruising to a 2-0 win over Tambuti on Saturday at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium. The team also celebrated Felix Badenhorst and Bashir Mutanda’s first goals of the season.
The ‘Birds’ are no longer among the five other teams that are without a win in four games in the MTN Premier League. These are namely Young Buffaloes, Malanti Chiefs, Milling Hot Spurs, Tambuti and Tinyosi.

Nyanga the ball juggler

At 70 years old, Manzini Wanderers Coach Nyangayeziwe Hlophe can show you one or two things with the football on his feet. He shared some of his skills during the 1-0 win over Malanti Chiefs at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium on Saturday. Hlophe is the oldest Coach in the MTN Premier League and he shared the skills when the ball came out of play. Hlophe is known to be among the fittest coaches in the country as he always leads from the front in taking players through the paces at training.
