‘BULL’, WESLIANS’ IN ‘SUPER SUNDAY’ CLASH AT MAVUSO

MBABANE – It’s Super Sunday in the MTN Premier League!

Mbabane Highlanders will host wounded rivals Manzini Wanderers at Mavuso Sports Centre on Sunday. Kick-off is at 2:30pm. This will be a must-watch clash in the second instalments of the first round of the MTN Premier League that kicked off last Saturday and it will be the only fixture to be played on the day. The rest of the seven fixtures will be played on Saturday, with two double headers at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium and KaLanga Technical Centre.

Highlanders go to the match on Sunday as hot favourites after beating last season’s runner’s up in the MTN Premier League, Young Buffaloes 2-1 on Saturday while Wanderers is licking their wounds after embarrassingly going down 1-3 to Manzini Sea Birds last Sunday. The log leaders, Manzini Sea Birds, will face Young Buffaloes, who lost their opening fixtures 1-2 against Mbabane Highlanders. The game will be played at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium at 3pm on Saturday while newcomers Rangers will host Tambuti on the opening day fixture at 12:30pm.

Champions

On Saturday at KaLanga Technical Centre, defending champions Royal Leopard will play against Milling Hot spurs at 12:30pm and Denver Sundowns will host Malanti Chiefs at 3pm. The MTN Premier League fixtures were released by the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) Chief Operations Officer (COO) Pat Vilakati yesterday. Mbabane Swallows, who are flying low after a 0-1 defeat by Royal Leopard, will be hosted by Correctional Services side Green Mamba at Mavuso Sports Centre on Saturday in a single header.

The game will start at 2:30pm while Vovovo, who won 1-0 against Malanti Chiefs, play Tinyosi at Killarney Sports Ground on Saturday. Tambankulu Callies will host Moneni Pirates at Tambankulu Stadium on Saturday in a 3pm clash. Fans will pay E50 for the two double headers while it will cost E30 for each single header. Only COVID-19 vaccinated fans will be allowed into stadiums.
